Share My Story

For years, if not decades, I have always felt that my mind was not functioning at its full capacity. I knew that there was a potential within me that I couldn’t tap into to achieve success easily in my endeavors.

Furthermore, this hindered my ability to learn new things from books and lectures, as well as my memory and concentration. There were times when I doubted my intelligence. However, deep down, I knew that this was not a true reflection of my capabilities.

SPEECH IMPEDIMENT?
In addition, I sometimes had difficulty speaking out loud and felt like my words were getting tangled up, taking longer to express myself. It was like I was kind of stuttering with the words traveling slowly and cautiously on a bumpy country roads instead on even highways, rushing towards me at the speed of light. This is why I often listened more than I spoke my mind in group conversations.

THE BRAIN REMINDS OF TEFLON
It’s important to find humor in one’s own disability, such as struggling to remember things without putting in a lot of effort. One thing that became amusing about my memory issues was that I often couldn’t remember things when I moved between rooms, or even just a few steps away from my desk, like names and numbers. If I didn’t write it down, I would forget it.

Of course, there is a humorous side to being forgetful or having trouble with memory. I even compared my brain to Teflon, where nothing seemed to stick to it like that non-stick frying pan.

STUCK IN DEEP WATER
The experience can be likened to walking through chest-deep water or constantly carrying a weight that hinders movement. In retrospect, it worsened over time as age became a factor, coupled with more projects and responsibilities from work, side hustles, family obligations, and the like.

As the workload increased, the water got deeper, making it more challenging to move forward and aggravating the symptoms. How did I manage to emerge from the water and shed the weight that was slowing me down?

BRAIN FOG, CAN IT BE?
About two years ago, I believed it was time to delve deeper into my situation. I thought to myself that there must be a way out of this “water”. It was then that I began to realize that I had been experiencing something called “brain fog”. Although I had heard this term before, I had never connected it to my own experience. In reality, I had come to accept that this was just a part of who I was.

I decided to incorporate mushrooms into my daily routine to see if they could help improve my cognitive function. As always, I approached this with an open mind and no expectations of immediate success or success at all.

However, after taking the mushrooms for about 10 days, I began to notice a remarkable difference. Things that I previously couldn’t recall started to stick in my memory, and I experienced a pleasant and cheerful sensation. Over time, I also found that the brain fog gradually faded away, I think faster and could remember things better without having to write them down. Scenes and events were more permanently etched in my mind, and I discovered even more benefits of using mushrooms.
